
Insurances and guarantees
GARANTIE DECENNALE :
Professionals and craftsmen carrying out the work on a house are responsible for ten years for any damages found to the building that are not due to misuse or wear and tear.
- GARANTIE BIENNALE :
Elements which are removable, e.g. shutters, gates, doors, are covered for two years from the date of handover.
- GARANTIE DE BON FONCTIONNEMENT :
Finishing off work may be carried out up to a year after delivery of a house. This includes faults identified by the Master of Works on handover or those notified in writing to the construction company during the first year of use.
- GARANTIE DOMMAGES-OUVRAGE :
It offers a ten years warranty for anything that damages the foundations and the “gros-oeuvre” ‘’heavy work” and pays for repair while responsibility is being established. If a house is sold before the ten year period, the Master of Works is obliged to provide a certificate of insurance to the new owner.
- GARANTIE DE REMBOURSEMENT :
If the « permis de construire » is refused, or if you can’t apply for your mortgage, your deposit will be refunded.
- GARANTIE DE LIVRAISON :
If anything happens during work, an insurance company completes the building.
- GARANTIE DE PRIX RESPECTE :
Prices and time limits won’t change from the signature of the contract to the handover.
